Kurt Maurin Bio Maltese Chef

My name is Kurt Maurin, I'm 31 years of age and I'm from the beautiful island of Malta. I work at the Radisson Blu Resort in st.Julians Malta as a Chef De Partie. I've been working in the catering industry for the past 15 years now. Started off in culinary school and finished my studies. Worked in various hotels and restaurants on the island for good experience and knowledge and still learning something new everyday. The thing that led me to this journey is mostly passion and creativity towards my daily job, meeting new people and dealing with customers on a daily basis. At a young age I used to look at what my father was cooking as he was a cook for 20 years. His brothers, hence my uncles were in the catering industry aswell, which one of them was a restaurant manager. They used to work together in a highly renowned restaurant in St.Julians back in the day which was called ‘il-kantina’. That's where I got the drive and passion from family.
