Sauerkraut as a side dish with meat
You will need:
750g of sauerkraut, an onion (finely chopped), sunflower oil, three bay leaves, five dried juniper berries (optional – Good Earth stocks them), 200ml sauerkraut bring, 300ml dry white wine.
Fry the onion in a little sunflower oil until it is brownish. Add all other ingredients and leave them to simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes. Remove bay leaves and juniper berries before serving.
