Bloody Mary

This version of the standard aperitif has a bit of a twist. For the best results, you will have to make it a day ahead and keep it in the fridge.
For 6 people, you will need:
One litre of tomato juice, one glassful of vodka, one medium-sized onion, four teaspoonfuls of horseradish, two teaspoonfuls of Tabasco sauce, four medium celery stalks with leaves, salt.
Blend all the ingredients together, leaving the salt to last. If you want more of a kick, put in more Tabasco – but if you are making this for others, check first. Serve it in tall glasses with some celery to garnish it.
