For 8 people, you will need:
four bananas, 300g of chocolate, 70ml of cream, dessicated coconut, roasted hazelnuts (chopped finely).
Cut the bananas in half down their length and insert an ice-lolly stick at the end of each half. Freeze them overnight in a plastic box. Heat the cream in a heavy-bottomed pan but don’t let it reach boiling-point. Just as it begins to curl up the sides of the pan, add the chocolate and stir it in well until it melts. Dip the frozen bananas in the hot mixture, roll them in desiccated coconut and nuts, and serve immediately.
